Wildlife Gallery owner Stuart Marcus has traveled down many career paths, from firefighting to making custom furniture. Lately, the native Floridian has devoted the majority of his time to his photographic pursuits, the most recent being last year's safari to Tanzania and Kenya, and the result a huge collection of images featuring all manner of East African wildlife. Hippos floating lazily in the water, lions relaxing and roaring, wildebeests fighting to cross a river, a croc snatching one away for its dinner — you name it, Marcus documented it successfully. In celebration of his gallery's newly remodeled and expanded space, Marcus presents Through My Eyes, an exhibit of more than 100 photographs that he took during his expedition. Through Oct. 14, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mon.-Fri. (open by appointment only on Saturdays), The Wildlife Gallery, 203 Flagship Drive, Lutz, 813-949-7546, the-wildlife-gallery.com.
