Although now it's officially a Romney-Obama race that will be in our face every day for the next six and a half months, the Republicans definitely have one serious advantage over the Dems moving towards November. That would be on the Super PAC front, where conservative groups have been raising lots more money than Priorities USA, the super PAC that the president finally decide to enthusiastically back in February.
The two Super PACS affiliated with Karl Rove - American Crossroads and Crossroads GPS, raised over $100 million last year, and is raising (and spending) more in 2012.
On Tuesday Crossroads USA announced a purchase of $789,000 in an ad going after President Obama on gas prices in Tampa-St-Petersburg, Orlando, West Palm Beach, and Fort Myers-Naples.
