Karl Rove's American Crossroads returns to bash Alex Sink in new ad

American Crossroads and their 501c(4) twin, American Crossroads GPS were among the biggest outside spending groups in the 2012 election cycle, and so far in the early part of 2014 they look like they'll again be major players in their efforts to make the Senate go red and the House remain blue.

The two groups combined to raise more than $325 million during the 2012 election cycle — $9 million more than the Democratic National Committee, according to FactCheck.org.

That includes getting their hands dirty in the CD13 race, which will come to a climax in three weeks. Today they dropped a new anti-Alex Sink ad that features a couple of local Pinellas County Republicans bashing Alex Sink for some familiar complaints - her use of a state plane among them. They're also hitting the former Bank of America exec for making so much money while she served in the private sector. Proof that such charges hurt, even though Republicans usually refer to such criticisms as "class welfare." Here's "Sunk."

The ad is scheduled to run in the Tampa Bay area media market on broadcast TV from February 18-March 11th.
