Katie Machol — Food & Drink Editor

After a studying TV broadcasting and realizing that she had a different calling, Katie received her culinary training at the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Tampa. Her work experience in the food industry includes the kitchens of the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg, Tastings wine bar, and an internship as a food stylist at The Home Shopping Network.

Katie has blended her passion for food and her media background into a newfound career path in food writing/styling and recipe development. Some of her favorite cuisines are Mexican, Thai and Southwestern/Tex-Mex. She is known for her experimentation in the kitchen (usually involving a lot of spice) and re-working recipes to put a personal spin on them.
