Latex goddess, RubberDoll, bares all on the woman behind the fetish gear (pics NSFW)

If you’re into latex and rubber outfits, if you appreciate impossibly seductive women toying with each other in chic yet twisted sex scenes, if you’ve spent any time at all in the fetish world, you’ve heard of RubberDoll—-or you at least instinctively recognize her: a dark-haired vixen bursting out of x-rated latex gear that makes Halle Berry's Catwoman look tame. As a performer, RubberDoll has been featured at most every major fetish gathering in Florida and beyond. As a model and business woman, she operates two of the most successful latex fetish sites on the web. This Saturday she’ll perform alongside acts like Stryker Vawn at Taboo 4, but before she gets strapped into her naught gear she got undressed with us.

Creative Loafing: How do you describe your occupation on your taxes?

RubberDoll: Wow, this is for the Sex and Love section and your first question is about taxes? I can’t think of anything less sexy than that... But seriously, the IRS doesn’t have a category for “Latex Goddess,” so I describe my occupation as a professional entertainer and model.

CL: In your intricate photo shoots and performances, you usually dominate other females in rubber gear. How would you describe your sexual and fetish preferences?

CL: What should fans expect of your appearance at Taboo 4?

RD: Taboo is always a great party. I appeared there last year and it was a blast. The crowd was dressed to kill, the stage shows were hot, and there were plenty of kinky surprises lurking in the dungeon downstairs. I am sure that this year will be just as wild. As for my appearance … well, I don’t want to give away too much in advance but I can tell you that I will be doing a kinky circus themed show where I take the role of a latex clad ringmaster. Make sure you don’t miss it!

CL: What is it about shiny, skin tight latex that is so appealing? In your opinion, does an appreciation of dressing up, a desire to stand out in a crowd, draw many people into the fetish community?

RD: Latex fetishism can appeal to people for many different reasons. Some people are turned on by the restrictive nature of the clothing and other people just enjoy the way it looks and feels. For me, it is the way it encases my body in an incredibly tight way, creating a shiny second skin. It really is like no other type of clothing in the way it fits and feels. I think it enhances a woman’s natural figure and allows you to transform yourself into another personality altogether. And of course dressing up also serves as a big creative outlet which draws a lot of talented and artistic people to the scene.

CL: Any advice for wearing rubber costumes?

RD: One of the bad things about latex is that it is very fragile and temperamental clothing. It requires a lot of special care and often doesn’t last very long. Every latex fetishist has a horror story about an outfit ripping at the worst possible time. Getting into an outfit can be difficult but applying a good silicone based lubricant to your body will help. Some people use baby powder for dressing but I find that just makes a big mess. The lube you use for dressing can also pull double duty as a shine that you apply to your clothes after you’ve dressed, so your outfit will have that wet look (nothing looks worse than dull and dry latex). You will also want to treat your latex with special care when you aren’t wearing it by keeping it in a cool dark place. I suggest hanging it in a closet and covering it with the plastic slips you get at the dry cleaners. Also, avoid prolonged contact with metals and exposure to sunlight as both can discolor and damage the latex.

CL: Your websites RubberDoll.net and ShinySluts.com features latex fetish photography of individual women and hardcore girl-on-girl play. Is there a reason for this exclusive focus on women? Does latex simply complement the female form better?

RD: The content featured on my websites is intended to convey a certain fantasy image. RubberDoll.Net features material that focuses on me, either alone or in girl-girl scenes, while ShinySluts.Com is a site where I work behind-the-scenes on material featuring other models. With both sites, I like the content to be sexual and kinky, but at the same time stylized and artistic. So, I find that featuring women exclusively fits more with the mood and feeling I want to convey. In my private life, I am also attracted to men but I don’t feel that type of subject matter fit as well with the fantasy that I want to communicate to the viewer.

CL: You have a complete dungeon playroom in your house. Has anyone who doesn’t know about your RubberDoll persona stumbled on your secret side? Do you ever feel like a super villain who must conceal her inclination to dress in ultra sexy outfits and shock, whip, and spank mild mannered people?

RD: It definitely does make me feel like I lead a double life sometimes. Some people aren’t as open minded about what I do, so I don’t go out of my way to let everyone know. But at the same time, it’s part of who I am so I don’t hide it away either. As I have become more visible on the internet and at various events, a lot of people have found me, including people I went to school with and old friends. Surprisingly, most people have reacted very positively and have been supportive of what I do. I’m sure there are some who don’t like it, but I’m comfortable in my own skin and at the end of the day that is what is important.
