Everybody was seemingly voting for Republicans in Florida in last week's midterm election, and Hispanic voters were no exception.
As Beth Reinhard in Tuesday's Miami Herald Naked Politics blog reports, Marco Rubio took home 55% of the Hispanic vote in the U.S. Senate race, with Charlie Crist at 23% and Kendrick Meek getting 21%.
In the Governor's race, she reports that that slice of the electorate was as narrowly split as the entire state, with Rick Scott getting 50% of the vote to Alex Sink's 48% share.
But outside of the Sunshine State, the rest of the nation's Latinos voted strongly in support of Democrats. The Pew Hispanic Center reports that the shift was 64% Democratic, 34% Republican.
The Pew poll shows that about half of registered Latino voters say Democrats care more about their concerns, compared with just 6% who say that Republicans do.
