Live and Local Spotlight: RedFeather CD Release Show

Singer-singwriter Mark Etherington – MVP-award winner in this year's Best of the Bay issue – plays acoustic guitar and percussion and delivers his musings in a haunting hollering howl as the frontman of RedFeather, the roots-psych-folk rock outfit that also encompasses sweetly-harmonizing bandmate Jacqlyn Titus (keys, vocals, percs), bassist Doug Gialluca and drummer T.C Smith. The foursome unleash their first recording at a CD release show this Friday; the four-song EP was recorded at Paper Sound Studios and Etherington describes it as "Music from the city about the beauty of the mind and country." A heaping wallop of other indie bands support.

Details: RedFeather CD Release Show with Noctambulo, Permanent Makeup, Archaic Interest, Memphibians, Fri., Nov. 16, 8 p.m. doors, 9 p.m. show, The Venture Compound, St. Petersburg, $5.
