London's sustainable Olympic stadium to be made from recycled weapons

With London hosting the 2012 Summer Olympics, the new super stadium and surrounding Olympic village are set to be the most sustainable structures the games have seen yet.

Besides the other numerous efforts they're going through to make these games super 'green' (see below), my favorite aspect so far is the fact that the Olympic Stadium will be made from recycled metal salvaged from guns and knives. And how were these arms acquired, you ask? This article from Inhabitat states: "Confiscated weapons from the Metropolitan Police Department are being melted down into scrap metal and used to help build the stadium. That’s an anti-weapons and recycling program all rolled into one!"
