Facebook CEO and cofounder Mark Zuckerberg will soon be a Florida resident, following the recent trend of wealthy tax dodgers scurrying to the Sunshine State.
Property records show that on March 2, Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan completed the purchase of a $170 million mega-mansion on Miami’s prestigious Indian Creek Village island, aka “Billionaire Bunker.”
Located just down the street from fellow tech dork Jeff Bezos, the sprawling 27,889-square-foot home comes with nine bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and plenty of room for the Zuck to do human activities. The home comes with a swimming pool, a private dock, a gym, a hair salon and massage room, an aquarium, and a library with its own secret passageway, reports Realtor.
“The estate’s plans and interiors were envisioned by world-renowned designer Ferris Rafauli. From the limestone façade and grand architectural proportions to the meticulously curated interiors, every detail showcases modern artistry and exceptional craftsmanship,” says the listing. “A sweeping staircase beneath a 38-foot skylight creates a dramatic centerpiece, filling the home with natural light.”
The home is currently under construction, and was originally commissioned for Miami’s “AirSculpt” plastic surgeon Aaron Rollins and his wife, Marine Rollins.
According to property records, the Zuck residence was first listed last year for $200 million, and as you can see from rendering below, the overall scale of the project is enormous.
Besides Bezos and Zuck, Indian Creek Village is also home to a handful of other reality-detached fat cats escaping contact with us regular plebs, like Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Tom Brady, Adriana Lima, and Julio Iglesias, to name a few.
