Emma Proulx of Men I Trust Credit: Ground Control Touring

As a lesbian, I don’t usually trust men—but I do trust indie outfit Men I Trust to bring a crowd to this two-night stand at Jannus Live.

The band is well-known in the indie scene for self-producing its tracks and creating a lush, dreamy sound that transcends easy genre categorization. Emma Proulx’s distinctive, soft vocal style is a signature element of its music, weaving effortlessly through groovy basslines and shimmering synths.

Its 2019 album Oncle Jazz and 2020 release Show Me How showcase its knack for blending mellow rhythms with hypnotic melodies, making each track feel both intimate and expansive. The band arrives supporting a 2025 outing, Equus Caballus.

Tickets to see Men I Trust play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg Wednesday-Thursday, Nov. 19-20 are still available and start at $45.
