Immigration reform advocates are pissed about a couple of things Florida Republicans are doing in an effort to show other Republicans how much they hate President Obama (and his stupid immigration reform! Gah!).

First off, there's U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho's bill, filed last week that would block the Deferred Action for Parental Accountability program, which would let some undocumented parents of U.S. citizens or permanent residents some relief from the immediate threat of deportation.

Pro-immigration reform activists say Yoho, whose district comprises large swaths of agricultural land dependent on migrant labor, is being a hypocrite; a political posturing one, to boot.

"We feed not only Florida, we feed the nation," said Tirso Moreno, a spokesperson for the Farmworker Association of Florida, in a press release.

"We do the hardest work at the lowest pay, and to add insult to injury, Rep. Yoho wants us to fear detention and deportation too?"

Moreno said members of the association have met with Yoho on the issue, and that the congressman "should know better."

The group also has words for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who, predictably, joined a lawsuit targeting the President's executive action on immigration reform. The Pamster announced her legal action on Friday.

Not cool, Moreno writes.

"They are going out of their way to harm Florida's economy and families with this political posturing."

According to the release, "Interfaith Alliance for Immigrant Justice and the Farmworkers Association of Florida will deliver this statement at Representative Yoho's office in Gainesville, tomorrow Wednesday at 9 a.m."

On Thursday morning, a group of immigration reform advocates will gather in downtown Tampa to call on U.S. Senator Marco Rubio to support the president's immigration action. Find the specifics on that here.
