Bradenton area state Senator Mike Bennett is officially a candidate for the Republican nomination for Congress in Florida District 11, the seat currently held by Tampa Democrat Kathy Castor.
That news was broken on Friday afternoon by Jeremy Wallace in the Sarasota Herald Tribune.
