Minister Louis Farrakhan, spiritual leader of the Nation of Islam, brought his message of renewal, personal responsibility, and the steps of atonement to an enthusiastic crowd on Sunday at the Tampa Convention Center. The speech was a call to action and a recognition of the 15th anniversary of the Million Man March on Washington of Oct. 16, 1995. Farrakhan's spiritual message urged all African-American men recognize wrongs, confess, repent and forgive. It was Farrakhan's first visit to the Tampa Bay area.
