We're a bit bleary eyed (a bit?) staying up last night to watch what some folks (okay, ESPN's Buster Olney, at least) are calling the greatest baseball game, ever.

But there's news to report. Three more members of the Occupy Tampa movement were arrested</strong> in the middle of the night, with the police pouncing as it began to rain and an activist sleeping on the sidewalk pitched a tent along the sidewalk in front of Curtis Hixon Park.

We have no idea who will win next year's U.S. Senate race in Florida. Actually, we take that back. We're convinced that none of the 4 men who have been running for the GOP nomination for Senate has yet to capture the imagination of the state's voters (admittedly for an election more than a year away). But we're not surprised that someone else has now joined the race, that being Connie Mack the IV, whose views on how Republicans look at illegal immigration may have already made him an underdog.

Marco Rubio made a rare appearance in Tampa yesterday, where he heard from local business leaders about some of their concerns about what's going on in Washington. He also faced some heat from the press about the whole when-did-his-parents-really-come to the U.S. controversy.

We checked out that Pearl Jam documentary last weekend, and there's a new one on U2 tomorrow night. Our thoughts about them, and a third band as well.
