Well, hats off to the Tampa Bay Rays for giving the Bay area an extra week of baseball thrills. Now who are you rooting for? Anyone? Post season baseball is thrilling, but only if you actually care about one of the team on the field.

Having said that, we can't help but remind readers that we wrote last Friday that the Rays weak home attendance would be an issue when the playoff series came back to St. Pete this week. And Rays owner Stuart Sternberg made sure of that in his post game comments.

The home of the Rays, Pinellas County, had their local government decide to no longer provide fluoride in the water supply, despite scientific background provided at the Pinellas BOCC meeting yesterday that it was the right thing to do.

Lookie here- New College in Sarasota Poli Sci Professor Keith Fitzgerald will announce tomorrow whether or not he'll challenge Vern Buchanan for Congress in Florida's 13th District.

And though it's been less than a day, what do members of the conservative intelligentsia do now, as their attempt to draft Chris Christie into action failed to happen when the candidate himself admitted he never wanted to be that guy.
