Happy Friday to you all. And welcome back humidity. We didn't miss you, and we're not pleased you're back.

But hey, the New York Yankees are out of the hunt for a championship. Actually that probably does bum out some folks in Tampa, but hey, there's enough baseball pain to go around still in the Bay area.

Okay, big news in Tampa was well, a couple of things. Occupy Tampa held another rally. We've got some video and photos of the event for you.

Also yesterday, the Tampa City Council is now just one more vote away from enacting a partial ban on panhandling. It looks like we'll have a new law on the books on November 1. Yesterday it required an ailing Charlie Miranda getting out of his sick bed to take a vote that ultimately, he didn't need to make.

Keith Fitzgerald announced yesterday he's running for Congress against Vern Buchanan in Florida's 13th Congressional District in Sarasota and beyond.

And Bill Nelson is taking a not so big risk in coming out in support of a surtax on millionaires.
