Panhandling is now banned in Tampa, every day but Sunday. And you can sell newspapers, which is why a plan to allow the homeless to sell their own papers like is done in many other major U.S. cities is a major development.
And remember those comments by Florida Republican Alan Hays about Latinos in the state regarding the Census and a new Congressional seat in the Orlando area? One Democratic South Florida lawmaker hasn't, and wonders why he hasn't been called on it by GOP leadership.
