Welcome to another humid November morning, Tampa Bay residents.
CL somehow found the facility that the Hillsborough County Republicans are now holding their monthly meetings (not the most accessible site, FYI). That's where we saw the changing of the guard, with Art Wood replacing Deborah Cox-Roush as the new head of the local party.
The Golden Boy of Florida GOP politics, Marco Rubio, was on MSNBC this morning talking about a new jobs bill he's sponsoring with Delaware Democrat Chris Coons. But the anchors on the political talk show barraged the Florida U.S. Senator about the "embarrassing" GOP field for president. But Rubio didn't take the bait.
Because the Tampa City Council allowed a provision for newspapers to be sold 7 days a week, making their ban on panhandling less than comprehensive, a new newspaper about the homeless to be sold by the homeless made its debut yesterday.
But not everybody is happy with the new publication – in fact, according to a report in this morning's St. Pete Times written by Jodie Tillman, they're quite pissed off.
