Happy Friday the 13th, the end of the first five-day workweek of 2012 for most of us (and props to those businesses that will actually observe the federal holiday that is Martin Luther King Jr. day on Monday).

While we wait for South Carolina, the Republican National Committee is penalizing Florida further for moving up its presidential primary. But really, is it punitive enough to prevent it from happening again?

Not to sound too cynical, but we're skeptical that hearings to be held in Tampa in two weeks regarding Florida's controversial elections law will change anything, but yesterday we learned where that will take place.
