Well it's Election Day today. I'm hoping our St. Petersburg readers will go to the polls and vote, unless it's their decision that it's better off not, though in a local race, that frankly makes no sense whatsoever.
CL takes a look at the council races, and other big issues on the ballot across the country.

Boy, I'm getting the impression that conservatives really don't like Mitt Romney, do they? Sure he's polling poorly right now, but there isn't a vote that counts in the race for the GOP nomination for president for two more months, and Barack Obama was always worried about him. We're talking about Jon Huntsman. Could he be the last salvation for the GOP?

Despite all the sturm and drang about the health care reform bill, it is the law of the land currently. Last night in Tampa local and federal officials sang its praises.

And the local daily papers have stories about Occupy Tampa today. The Times reports on the latest arrests, the Trib on what the activists do during the day at Curtis Hixon. Our own contribution was being a fly on the wall as three of the protesters met for a half hour discussion with Councilwoman Lisa Montelione.
