Florida Governor Rick Scott announces his priorities for his second budget later this afternoon, and the big news before he even delivers it is the news that he intends to ask for a $1 billion increase in K-12 education spending. The speech comes a day after a new survey shows his popularity at a lowly 26 percent.
Over 400 print and broadcast reporters came to Tampa yesterday to check out the St. Pete (Soon to become Tampa) Times Forum, the site of next year's Republican National Convention, and the Tampa Convention Center, which will be where the estimated 10,000-13,000 reporters who will be here next August will file their reports from.
