A new story has surfaced that just hours before U.S. Senator Dick Durbin hosts a hearing on Florida's controversial new elections law. That report says that four Republicans involved in crafting the bill are avoiding a request for a deposition in a lawsuit challenging the law.
In last night's GOP debate, only Ron Paul went off the cliched path when it came to discussing Cuba. Yesterday in Tampa, Democratic Congresswoman Kathy Castor, who has been slow to embrace establishing more ties with the Communist island, gave her most full-throated support for making Tampa the 'gateway' to Cuba, though she still won't say when she'll visit the country.
