Mitch Perry Report 3.21.12 - GOP race drones on

We are still more than five months away from the Republican National Convention in Tampa, and the odds of a contested convention still seem small, but as we write in our wrap-up of last night's Illinois GOP primary, Mitt Romney still won't have the delegates to declare himself the nominee for three more months, if he continues at the same pace he's going right now.

Since 1960, Hillsborough County has chosen the president in every election save one (1992). That's why the Obama for America folks are going all out to take the county this year, and are spending lots of money this early on in the Tampa Bay area to try to win the county come November.

And the extremely conservative John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. under George W. Bush, and his mustache, will be speaking in Sarasota next month.
