We're looking forward to watching Ozzie Guillen's press conference this morning. The controversy regarding the Miami manager's positive comments about Fidel Castro published late last week doesn't seem to be abating at all....

Speaking of controversy, the Florida elections bill passed last year by the GOP-led Legislature smelled to a lot of Democrats like a way of trying to suppress their voters at the polls this year. But not all of the bill's critics are Democrats — such as Charlie Crist.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn announced yesterday an effort to write a master plan for downtown that calls for maximum involvement from Tampa residents.

Meanwhile, City Councilman Frank Reddick is upset at the mayor, and claims he hasn't done much of anything for the black community in the city over the last year.

And tonight critics of the mayor's "clean zone" rules for protesters at the RNC will make their voices heard at a protest rally scheduled in downtown Tampa tonight.
