If the Tampa Bay Rays can win their last two games (not a gimme by any stretch against the New York Yankees), worst case scenario means they would host a special playoff game in St. Pete on Thursday. But they must sweep the Yankees - still a tough bet.

Pretty darned exciting. A little less exciting meeting takes place this morning on the USF campus, where Hillsborough County state legislators will discuss bills they intend to introduce in Tallahassee regarding Tampa/Hilllsborough later this year.

We bumped into former St. Pete Mayor Rick Baker the other day- even though he backed Romney in '08, he's keeping his options open this time around.
