We were out in Progress Village last night to see and hear several Hillsborough County Commission candidates talk up their platforms. Of particular interest was the discussion by the three Democrats vying for the District 3 seat (which includes Progress Village) talking up the one cent sales referendum because of the increased bus service it would provide.
Tampa International's interim director, John Wheat, already said it, but says it again today: the airport is excited about a possible light rail station being built on its structure, but isn't so keen on a high speed rail stop.
And after hoping they wouldn't have to do it, the Kendrick Meek campaign team went into their piggy bank and has produced a television ad, 4 weeks before the primary election. No doubt it talks about their current concerns in getting through the primary because it's a complete attack on Democratic opponent Jeff Greene.
