MSNBC's daily three-hour political morning talk show starring Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski that's absolutely essential viewing for political junkies, is coming to Tampa next Thursday. The crew will be broadcasting live from Alexander Elementary School cafeteria on North Lois Avenue.
According to an e-mail distributed by Hillsborough County School Board spokesperson Kristin Jernigan, the show will be hosting a town hall meeting of sorts on the state of the nation's schools. We're not certain why they chose Tampa and Hillsborough, but the fact that the district is receiving a $100 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for a seven-year education reform plan certainly has put the district on the radar nationally.
