Until then we'll have to muddle through somehow:
- Today provides us another lesson in the difference between the Tampa Tribune and the St. Petersburg Times. Even on a fairly routine story — the naming of an interim director for the Tampa-Hillsborough Sprawlway Authority — the Times digs deeper, giving us context that two of the folks with great sway at that agency, lobbyist John Beck and attorney Rhea Law — have ties to the winning selection. Some board members express concern that those ties, possible conflicts, weren't disclosed. The Tribune account has none of this background. Bad news for the Trib, which inititated and used to own this story.
