It's a fine Friday morning. Although I was taken aback by the melodramatic narrative leads I read in the big dailies, I came into the office and immediately got a voice mail from an angry reader of Creative Loafing calling me a "piece of shit" for something I wrote. So things are looking up:
- The Tribune editorial board calls for the Sprawlway Authority's Ralph Mervine's head.
- Joni James' scoop on how docs are going to ask you to sign away your rights to sure for more than $250,000 if they mess you up.
- Is South Florida Congressman Mark Foley a sexual predator? New Times says yes. The actual e-mails.
- The Orlando Sentinel on D's worried about Davis: "We're concerned," said state Sen. Steve Geller, D-Hallandale Beach, who is orchestrating Senate campaigns for the Democratic Party. "Every day that Crist is up and we're not, it digs the hole a little deeper."
- The real reason that Minneapolis/St. Paul was chosen over Tampa for the Republican National Convention. (And no, the answer is not "cheaper hookers.")
- Poll: Heller beating Capelli in St. Pete House race.
