A map of last Saturday’s scheduled “Hands Off” protests shows hundreds, and probably over a thousand, actions that were scheduled in all 50 states. The Tampa Bay area was included in the coverage area, with protestors lining downtown Tampa’s Kennedy Boulevard between Ashley Drive and Florida Avenue. Rallying against President Donald Trump and sidekick Elon Musk, protesters waved familiar signs (“Hate Has No Home Here,” “Resist!”) and others more specifically addressing the latest round of Trump tariffs and the aggressive deconstruction of the federal government under Musk’s so-called DOGE department.
