Most people don’t think of Pinellas Park as an arts destination. In fact, it’s generally been viewed as just the opposite. But the city is hoping to change that perception. Over the past two years, it’s scooped up properties in its ailing Community Redevelopment District along Park Boulevard to create a small-business incubator with a focus on the arts. The city is working with Better Block, an international program focused on urban redevelopment, for a pop-up event Oct. 10-11. The weekend will feature craft brewers, small businesses, art, music and outdoor amenities as the city determines what is feasible for the long term.
