Café Bohemia A coffee bar that also serves wine, spirits and tasty fare, Cafe Bohemia hosts live experimental, punk and rock music as well as acoustic singer-songwriters and poets on its roomy patio. 937 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, 727-895-449 (150).

Ella's Americana Folk Art Café A Seminole Heights restaurant and live music spot that's quickly becoming a staple; mostly local and regional bands perform free shows on Fridays and Sundays. 5119 N. Sacred Grounds A North Tampa coffeehouse staple that has seen all manner of local and regional talents cross its intimate living room-style stage and is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
