This recent report shows home prices fell the most in Chicago and New York. Obama and Hillary must be so proud.
Harry Reid now says no rush on health care. Really? Wonder what made him change his mind?
Rubio pulls ahead of Crist in this poll. I would love to blame this on our Governor signing SB 360 and butchering what little growth management laws we did have but I have a feeling the real culprit might be that little hug he gave Obama while promoting the stimulus. And then flat out denying ever supporting it. Just a hunch.
As Mitch Perry reports, local officials are still floating the idea of drinking shit since they are still predicting tons of new residents in the future. I think we should link water to growth instead of supplementing clean water with shit but call me greedy because I happen to like shit-free water.
Looks like all the whiny race-baiting in District 58 actually worked. Congratulations district 58 Dems! You just voted for someone who doesn't actually live in your district over a longtime community advocate endorsed by the Sierra Club (who does live in the district). Does State Rep district 58 share any of the same area as County Commission District 3? It appears they do share some of the same territory from this map. Just wondered in case I need to brace myself for another term of Kevin White when that election rolls around. If they don't care about their State Representative actually living there will they care about a $500,000 sexual harassment bill from their local official?
The Workforce Alliance (who knew they existed until this scandal broke?) was caught recently spending a fortune on food and entertainment and considering they are funded with tax dollars that pissed plenty of people off. Senator Mike Fansano and Senator Ronda Storms have called for a change in the agency and Commissioner Mark Sharpe who sits on that board is calling for the director's head. (Let's hope he gets more support for hers than he did for County Administrator Pat Bean's!) In defense of the agency they were finding employment for the food service industry that catered for THEM and the entertainment industry that entertained THEM!
