Even though the Florida has the second-highest rate of uninsured citizens, it has turned away millions of dollars in grants that would go toward initiatives like moving long-term care patients back into their homes and improving state regulation of health premiums – all because it's part of that icky health care plan that President Obama signed in 2010.
For those uninsured, there are health care clinics in the area to address minor injuries and illnesses. The latest to open in the South Tampa area is Bay Point Urgent Care, located at 1155 S. Dale Mabry Road, across from the Publix shopping center.
