Participate in the 10th Annual Hillsborough River Boat Parade this Saturday

Decorate your boat and join the fun: Paddlers can easily use a few battery operated strings of lights, available at stores like Home Depot. New 20 light LED sets cost just $6 & run on 3 AA batteries. Or rig a regular battery to power any light display you can put on your vessel. Get creative!

Join the event: Saturday, December 19th. Lowry Park Boat Ramp, upriver past River Tower Park (aka Sulphur Springs Tower) to Nebraska Avenue. Meet at 5:30 at Lowry Park boat ramp. The parade begins at 6:00. The tide will be high at 5:30, so everyone's boat will safely float. Paddlers will lead the parade, followed by power boats. The parade takes about 1 hour, leaving the rest of your evening free.

Celebrate the magic of living in a city with a tropical river flowing through its neighborhoods. Celebrate the restored health & beauty of the Hillsborough, Tampa Bay's nursery, thanks to the dedication of citizens & scientists. Plan now to be part of the holiday fun.
