Following up on our post yesterday regarding the chances that the U.S. Senate may go Red this year, both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal report on what we wrote about – how there are some sure states that will switch from Democrat to Republican this year (including Indiana, thanks to Evan Bayh's resignation on Monday.

In Colorado, there is an incumbent Democratic Senator you may not be that familiar with named Michael Bennett. He was selected to replace Ken Salazar last year after Salazar was named Interior Secretary for President Obama.  Now he's running for re-election, but not only is he losing badly to the Republican in the race, but he's being severely challenged in primary by the former House Speaker in Colorado, Andrew Romanoff.

Romanoff actually fares better against the Republican in the race, Jane Norton, according to a recent Rasmussen poll.

But Romanoff is in a bit of a pickle, after it was discovered that an unpaid campaign adviser recently trashed two of the Democratic party's strongest constituencies, labor and the environment.
