Looking for a little farm amid Tampa's urban sprawl? Sweetwater Organic Community Farm sits on five acres along Sweetwater Creek about a half-mile northeast of Tampa International Airport. Founded in 1995 as a nonprofit Community Supported Agriculture enterprise, Sweetwater has about 150 paid members who acquire organic produce each week. Though memberships are all booked up, the rest of us can check out the farm at Sweetwater's new Sunday market, which has its grand opening this weekend. Vendors hawk wares that include organic produce and clothing, homemade soaps, and Fair Trade-certified coffees and chocolates. Kids are welcome.
