Piers Morgan is a Brit, not a native of America. And that's why his perspective when it comes to this country's attitudes towards guns bewilders him, and he's not afraid to say so.

Three days after the Aurora move theater massacre, the the CNN talk show host began his program by speaking with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who refuses to cower to critics who say the discussion on gun control matters should wait. Bloomberg's response? It's been over a decade since Columbine, more than five years since the Virginia Tech massacre, a year and a half since the attempted assassination of former Congresswoman Gaby Giffords. When is the right time?

After that Morgan then channeled his inner Will McAvoy last night in a fiery exchange with anti-gun control advocate John Lott Jr., with attorney and author Alan Dershkowitz chiming in that Lott was pedding "junk science."
