What is the most extreme play session you have been involved in?
It depends on what you consider 'extreme'? I've used huge insertables, including some kinds of large squash on men. I have conducted intense, sensory depravation overnight sessions. I've done a lot of very extreme ball busting that left the top of my foot bruised, even though I was wearing boots. I used to have crazy parties with multiple Goddesses and multiple slaves. I could go on and on.
Where do you draw the line between what you will and will not do in a fetish scene?
The 'yes' and 'no' list has changed over the years and continues to change as I evolve. There are things I simply don't enjoy, like adult diaper play or giving enemas. There are things that are too risky or dangerous like castration or running over a guy with a car. I've said no to a whole lot of things... Basically if I don't think I'll enjoy it or if it's too risky, I won't do it.
The slaves in your videos are fans, or occasionally friends or lovers, as opposed to paid male performers. What is the thinking behind this? Is it cheaper? Does using actual fetish enthusiasts create better content? Is it a way of creating a loyal fan base?
I use my own personal lovers or real fans because it creates a more authentic vibe... Sometimes it ends up having a more amateur feel or 'reality porn' feel, which many find more appealing than polished, pro films.
Why do you think the need to control submissive partners plays so heavily into the sexuality of "Mistress T"?
People have layers. I am naturally Dominant and Mistress T is my FemDom 'layer'. Mistress T doesn't 'need' to control submissive partners, she just does what submissives come to her to do. If there weren't so many men who craved that, I wouldn't have a business. The horse comes before the cart. I just fulfill a need. Satisfy a craving. I don't go out on the street and brow beat random men into submitting *smile*. Mistress T is sexy to men who crave giving up control to a beautiful, Dominant woman.
Have you ever considered being the submissive partner in a scene in order to better understand a bottom’s headspace?
Not only have I already played as a sub, which did help me understand the other side, I wrote a couple of great blog articles about it, available here and here.
My blog, MistressT.wordpress.com, actually started as a way to tell the story about my journey to becoming Mistress T, because I get asked so often. Once the story got caught up to modern day the blog evolved into a journal about me living the life of Mistress T... and me just living my life outside of the business. I feel it's effective in reducing some of the objectification that inevitably comes from me being a porn star and helps my fans feel closer to me.
You describe yourself as “VERY petite: 5 feet tall, 96 pounds, size 4 feet.” However, you also list “Giantess,” as one of the many fetishes you perform. How do you create the illusion that you are huge? Do you just film from low angles?
Yes, it is all just camera angles.
What are your feelings on 50 Shades of Grey? Are you tired of hearing about it? Has it driven more fans to your content?
That book is mainly directed to female readers. My target market is 99.9% men. I don't think the book has any impact on my business in any way.
