Water Conservation Summit

Southwest Florida Water Management District and their Water Con servation Task Force sponsor a Water Conservation Summit to raise awareness of the reasons for and benefits of water conservation. Representatives of agriculture, business, industry, environment, local government, public supply and recreation give presentations regarding a wide range of water conservation issues, technology, processes and history. Free Counseling for Rape Survivors

Family Service Centers provide free counseling to rape survivors and their family and friends, as well as victims of sexual harassment. All services are confidential and available to anyone in Pinellas County. Call 727-535-9811 or 727-530-7273.

Anger Management Workshop

Marriage and Family Center, a nonprofit organization, is sponsoring a free two-part workshop focusing on anger management. Attendees learn to identify the warning signs and stages of anger and get helpful ideas about managing anger more effectively. Held at the Palm Harbor Public Library, 2330 Nebraska Ave., Palm Harbor. Senior Health Fair

Tampa General Hospital hosts free Senior Health Fair. TGH's ambulatory center, HealthPark offers a half-day full of free health screenings, important medical information, exhibits, refreshments, entertainment and even bingo to senior citizens. HealthPark is located at 5802 N. 30th St., one block north of Hillsborough Ave., in Tampa.

Youth Arts Corps

Youth Arts Corps, a free after-school teen arts and job-training program operated by the Pinellas Arts Council, is accepting applications for membership and paid apprentice positions. Available workshops include creative writing, poetry, percussion and clay sculpture. Youth ages 13-17 can join and take free workshops taught by professional artists. Youth 14-17 are eligible for paid apprentice positions at $5.25 an hour and youth 16-21 are eligible for artist assistant positions at $6 per hour. Call 727-893-2567.
