Audubon Christmas Bird Count
Saturday, Dec. 22
The Clearwater Audubon Society seeks volunteers to participate in a century-old event that takes place around the world. A pre-count takes place Saturday, Dec. 15, to familiarize teams with geographic areas and procedures. Everyone is welcome to take part in this day-long field trip. Donations to the education endowment fund of Clearwater Audubon Society are also accepted. The Child Abuse Council's Holiday Store Dec. 18-20

Human Rights Day

10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Amnesty International of Tampa Bay, in conjunction with the United Nations Human Rights Day, hosts a celebration at Largo Central Park. Events include speakers from local chapters of human rights organizations, live music from bands (including Sparky's Nightmare, Gotohells and Car Bomb Driver) and information about participating organizations.
