The Tampa Bay Rays will be playing in Tampa…..This Friday night that is, on a 16-foot television screen in Cotanchobee Park at 8:00 p.m. as the Rays visit the Kansas City Royals.
The park is located in front of the Tampa Bay History Center to the west of Channelside complex in Tampa. Officials at the museum also say fans can sit in the Columbia Cafe's outdoor patio while watching the action on two flat screen televisions.
Meanwhile, in what is surely a bi-annual event for years to come, talk has resurfaced once again about a new stadium for the St. Petersburg based ball club.
Check that. The talk this week has been about the current structure, Tropicana Field, a stadium the Rays insist is no longer is viable for them this week. Why's that? Well, an ESPN broadcaster said he didn't like it, so that settles ……..nothing.
