You know your campaign is becoming, well, somewhat of a joke when America's premier comedy show, Saturday Night Live, makes you the focus of its main political parody skit for two successive Saturday nights.
But what can you say about Rick Perry and the comedy industrial complex? He's been the gift that's given generously as we approach the holidays – and his now infamous 53-second "brain freeze" was parodied mercilessly to open up NBC's weekly satire:
Just hours before SNL parodied the Michigan debate, the real-life GOP presidential candidates were debating in yet another forum, this one in South Carolina that concentrated on foreign policy.
And because the Texas governor didn't commit any such embarrassments in the CBS debate, some analysts are suggesting that it was a "solid" performance.
Really?
