Rick Scott is your new Governor, Florida - deal with it; Pam Bondi pens an op-ed in the WSJ on going after the feds on the health care bill, and it's now ex-governor Charlie Crist: Mitch Perry Report 1.5.10

Today is the first day of the rest of your life, and the first full day of the Scott/Bondi/Putnam/Atwater era in Florida.

Rick Scott of course had inaugural speech yesterday at high noon.  You can read our impressions of that here.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has an op-ed in today's Wall Street Journal in which she predicts more states will join Florida and 19 others in suing the federal government regarding the individual mandate provision in the health care law that she believes is unconstitutional.  Interestingly, Howard Dean said again today that he thinks the law can survive not having the mandate.

Readers who care about a water taxi system transferring people across the bay might want to take heed of what went down in Hillsborough County yesterday.

And Charlie Crist is now the ex-governor of Florida.
