I moved from Great Falls, Montana, early enough in life not to claim it as my home town, and grew up mostly in Colorado. In 2004, I moved to St. Petersburg to reside and learn at Eckerd College. Florida and Eckerd tried to spit me out with four hurricanes and three campus evacuations, but I endured long enough to gain a degree with a slight tan.
I'm pursuing a masters degree in Journalism and Media Studies at USF St. Petersburg. Ive always had a passion for writing; it took a turn for the better when I stopped writing about Beanie Babies and my cat.
Being born in Great Falls was an omen, er, foreshadowing, of other things to come for me. A figure skater since age 4, I have taken countless great falls on the ice. Thankfully, I got up from each of those spills to complete a solid and overall-rewarding 15 years of competing as of last year. My time on the ice now is spent coaching sassy children, but I still can do a triple salchow on any given day.
I also have an affinity for dance (choreographed and impromptu), art, Britney Spears and laughing outbursts. Britney on Ice: call me.
