The Hillsborough County Commission decided on December 16 to begin the process of letting the Environmental Land Acquisition & Protection Program (ELAPP) acquire the 12,000-acre parcel from Hillsboroughs Water Resources entity. Those of us that want to see this pristine land be protected forever should be happy, right? Well, not so fast. New concerns have now surfaced regarding the questionable advice that the countys Utility and Commerce Director has given the county commission in doing the property transfer.
