Remember when the USF football squad snuck into the Top 25 early last season? Cute story. Then they moved to 18, then 6, then 5, then 2? Two? Frickin’ second in the nation, man. OK, so it didn’t last: The Bulls lost three straight before rebounding, playing in the Sun Bowl and getting kicked around by Oregon. Still, you can’t take away the accomplishment, the astounding breakthrough year for a football program that was just a decade old. Wasn’t it great to see people wearing green and gold other than just on campus?
