Sometimes I feel for Monday. We all know Tuesday is at least as bad as Monday, or perhaps even worse, because you bust out of Monday into Tuesday and, shit, it's just more of the same. SeaWorld San Diego announced it will be phasing out its killer whale shows as early as next year, and replacing them with a more conservation-minded orca experience, which is a little like looking down at the gaping, septic abdominal wound you've had for months and which is now gangrenous and likely to kill you, and going, "OK, yeah, maybe I would like that Band-Aid now."

Speaking of announcements, veteran local Fox News 13 anchor Denise White — who's been in broadcasting for 40 years, more than half of it in this market — said she's retiring, with her last broadcast being the day before Thanksgiving. And finally, according to WalletHub, Florida has the third-highest number of uninsured residents in the nation in the wake of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. But you'd be a communist moron to link our state turning down federal exchange dollars with fewer people enjoying a better and more secure quality of life, right?
