Sh*t happened 9/7/16: New TIA construction, Rays fire hitting coach, Walmart gross

Happy UberEATS Day, Tampa! If you're in the activated area, enjoy the consequences of convenience, which hopefully doesn't include a side order of your delivery driver deciding you're pretty and creeping on you.

Tampa International Airport's "blue side" curbside drop-off and pickup areas started closing from 8 p.m. - 4 a.m. last night to accommodate the construction of TIA's forthcoming "SkyConnect" transit system. This will go on into next year, and is not an insignificant inconvenience, but seeing as we're blessed with a seriously awesome airport, we're gonna hold off bitching about this for now in the name of recognizing one of the few places where "progress" usually turns out to be, you know, progress.

The Rays fired their "hitting coach." We suggest using the money to hire a "clutch playmaking coach."

Some Bay area Walmart stores were found to be selling expired products including baby food. If this in any way surprises you, I'd love to sit down with you sometime and ask you about your life process.

And finally, here are some closing stats on Hurricane Hermine, courtesy of Bay News 9. Again, many, many thanks to everyone who took it upon themselves to look in on and after their neighbors. You define community.
