Somber but tense mood at Tampa Police Memorial

Two crosses stand in memory of fallen officers Dave Curtis and Jeff  Kocab at the Tampa Police Headquarters Memorial, where families, businesspeople, journalists and uniformed police officers gathered yesterday to pay their respects. The mood was somber but tense as police continued their manhunt for Dontae Morris, the chief suspect in the shooting of the two officers. He is now a person of interest in two other murders, according to Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor. Officers Kocab and Curtis, both 31, were gunned down during a routine traffic stop on Tuesday June 29. Services are planned for this Saturday.
